This is a 1960's early Vietnam War era United States Navy USN Helicopter Flight Helmet type APH 5 Helmet manufactured by GENTEX in size large. The helmet is in overall good condition with headset receivers, functional retractable tinted visor which is cracked. The helmet was painted black for reasons unknown, the wearer more than likely wanted to change from the gold color. The original golden color can still be seen
