Germany, Luftwaffe. An Em/Nco’s M43 Field Cap GTRexclude " and marked "800" (silver)(Luftwaffe Bergmtze). A late Second War period Luftwaffe EM NCOs M43 field cap, constructed of a dark grey wool twill. The cap features fold down panels providing optional neck protection which, when not in use, are held together at the front by a magnetic metal button. The peak of the cap is adorned with insignia in the form of a Luftwaffe style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, constructed of silver grey machine embroidery on a dark
