It is an accompanying letter for an Iron Cross 2nd Class, dated to December 22, 1940. The recipient is Lance Corporal Schtz. His name was originally wrongly typed as Schulz, but has been changed by pen. Schtz was part of the 1st Battalion of Infantry Regiment 432. The letter is sent on behalf of the entire Battalion, wishing Schtz a long and healthy life during which to wear
