Arisaema candidissimum Europe Compared to the spreading PyrrosiaThe Chinese Arisaema candidissimum is one of the easiest to grow and most exquisitely beautiful of the jack in the pulpits. Emerging in very late spring (May or June) are 15" tall stalks of pink pitchers dramatically striped with translucent, white vertical veins (candidissimum means "dazzling white"). Alongside the Arisaema candidissimum flower are two giant, three lobed leaves, which can reach 2' in width. Arisaema candidissimum offsets slowly in a
