A First War Cross Of St. George, Type Iv, Iii Class Silver Grade consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac tarnishing evident on the edges( ). Instituted in 1807. In silver, the reverse number marked "173" and "134" (173,134) on the arms at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively, along with being marked Third Class in Russian on the arm at 6 o'clock, measuring 34. 5 mm (w) x 41 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, very dark patina, exhibiting light contact and spotting, replacement ribbon mounted to a modern five sided brass suspension with pinback, better than very fine. Footnote: The
