Croatia, Independent State. An Order Of Merit, Ii Class, Christain Version, C.1942 Hold presents light gilt wear and(Red za zasluge). Instituted in 1942. In silver with red enamels, measuring 44 mm (w) x 44. 5 mm (h), vertical pinback, small chip evident in the red enamels on the arm at 9 o'clock on the obverse, along with silvering wear on the pin, better than very fine. Footnote: The Order of Merit was instituted on April 10, 1942 and awarded in four grades: Grand Cross, I Class, II Class and III Class, with separate insignia for Christian and Moslem recipients.
