which was a favorite of many of us when it was 10-15 years old

The fruit for this Macon-Village comes from two plots around the villages of Uchizy and Chardonnay that don’t go into the single vineyard bottlings

The 2008 showed more fruit, surprisingly more for only being one year younger. Dark, full flavored, mellowed tannins and no heat despite alcohol level. I'd give a slight edge to the 2007 but maybe it's because I tasted that one first. Both were delicious and nicely complemented grilled rack of pork. 8 15 2020
