Samuel Gooch was born in 1891 and enlisted with the 2nd 10th Battalion, Manchester Regiment on 24 November 1915 for service in the Great War. He was reported wounded on 20 11 1917, most likely during the Passchendaele campaign. Discharged on 10 April 1918, with the reason
