The entire frame and cylinder are beautifully scroll engraved and bear a serial number 4175 which matches the one on the barrel assembly

This is a very nice example of a genuine WWII Front Seam Fixed Bale M1 Helmet made by McCord Radiator, with a Firestone liner and helmet net. It also is painted on both sides of the helmet with the distinctive "three pointed star" unit insignia of the U. S. Army's III Corps, which took part in WWI, WWII, and exists to this day. The U. S. WWII M 1 helmet was only produced from 1941 to 1945. The first production batch
